Hey good lookin’! So I was gone all last week and I had time to take a break. I had a small procedure done and they ended up taking some biopsies. Life, beauty, love, music, art and such that INSPIRES! Just like a kaleidoscope, life is colorful & ever-changing! I used to have a blog a few years ago and it started to hit off. Then my grandpa became really ill and I had to put the blog to an end. This is my “fresh start” back into the blogging world.

I hope to share and learn about each and every one of you. I live in a very small town and kind of far off from my family about an hour away. So I do like to talk a lot, share and learn about others. Here you are accepted, welcomed & respected regardless of color, size, religion, opinions & so on. This site will not tolerate any kind of hate or negativity! I also feel like besides being home, or with those I love, that I can’t really be open due to the surrounding towns being closed minded. So I thought this would be a great way to open up and maybe a few of you can do that as well.

My nick name is Kaleidoscope aka Kaleido! The name was given to me by my mother because I constantly am changing my hair color! I have been every color except silver, black and peach. I get really bored with just one hair color and I can’t help it! I used to work at Hot Topic and that didn’t help my addiction! I am though on a challenge to not dye/color my hair as much and to grow my hair out. I’ll try…TRY!

Monday’s I usually just talk my head off, share a story or do a survey. If you feel the need to share or participate then just shoot me an email. I might just put you on the blog! Wednesday’s I usually talk about whatever too but mostly it’ll be about fashion. Friday’s is for recipes especially baking goods. I think I’m better at baking than cooking honestly. From time to time, I will do a product review or else experiment with topics off Pinterest to see if it actually works. Wonder if something works? Shoot me an email. I’ll try anything!

These Wild Hairs

Hello, darlings! I hope your day will be as beautiful as you are! Today I wanted to share a little about my past and present hair color. I have literally been every color that you could think of! I’ll share just a few!

Before I go any further, I have to thank a very special and talented friend for doing my hair last minute. Miah Davis from the I.T.S Academy of Beauty, where she will be graduating March 3rd, 2015. Congratulations girl! If you would like to visit this lovely, visit her at the Regis Salon in the Sikes Senter Mall here in Wichita Falls, Tx.  She is a sweetheart, funny, caring, skilled and very caring! If you want to be daring or unique, she’s the stylist for you!

My present hair is the work of Miah Davis when it was last minute and my other stylist had to cancel. My hair was already a pretty light blonde so Miah decided to put some color to my ends. She even added a small peekaboo to a previously faded out peekaboo! She used Pink and Wild Orchid from Pravana on my ombre ends. I love my hair! I’ve even had a few people reach out and touch my hair because they loved it that much! I honestly sat in the chair and said “Do whatever you want”! I trusted her that much! Ha!

Here are just a FEW of my hair colors from the past few years. Every October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness month, I put pink in my hair or go all pink! Hair makes me feel beautiful. It’s just something that I can constantly change at anytime and it’s like art on your head!

Hello, darlings! For those that have followed me through out the years, thank you for being so loyal! It truly touches me! All you new comers, welcome! I’m so excited for you to be here visiting my small blog! I just thought I’d write a little more about me for those who aren’t too familiar with who I am.

I’m married to my best friend, Jacob Latimer, and a stay at home mom to five rescued furbabies who are my universe! We live in a small house gifted to us by Jacob’s family as a wedding gift. One day we plan to move to the ‘middle of nowhere’ part of the country and live happily ever after.

My nickname is Kaleidoscope, which was given to me by my mother. I love to change my hair constantly and like how a kaleidoscope changes its shapes and colors, so does my hair color! My nickname is just not the inspiration for the name of my blog, it was also in memory for my grandpa. My grandpa growing up with collect many things and use most of the recycled junk in his garden. I’d play with his vintage kaleidoscopes in the backyard by the koi pond he built with his bare hands. My childhood was so beautiful when I was with him. My grandpa sadly couldn’t stay much longer, he said his last goodbye September 2013. It is so hard to move on but I know he is somewhere better. I pray that he is up there proud of me and pleased with this small dedication to him! Love you grandpa!

In my spare time, you can find me in my craft room or baking up a storm! I may or may not burn a cake from time to time! Ha! I love to recycle junk, daydream, craft, listen to music, write and anything creative. I love art of all kinds! Art is my outlet and I am inspired by all!
